Frequently asked questions
What specific legal challenges do your clients commonly face when it comes to Māori land law?
Māori land owners may encounter issues around succession, trusts, managing communally owned land, historical Māori Land Court matters, name changes, correction of records, gift and sale, occupying, utilising, Māori Land Court Injunctions, and other Māori Land Court applications.
In what ways do you support whānau during family law matters, beyond just the legal advice?
We assist whānau to navigate the system or the Family Court. We also assist with referring our clients to social wrap around services. This service will depend on the circumstances of a client; for example, we can refer our clients for budgeting services or engaging services to assist with obtaining a New Zealand drivers licence.

Our approach to law from a kaupapa-driven perspective means that we provide our clients with a more holistic experience by including the social wrap-around approach for our clients.
